CLARITAS expanded its solar portfolio to 312.5 MWp in Greece by the end of 2019. The projects have been clustered in Northern Greece and will be fully completed in 2021.
The project cluster consists of several land plots at the north of Thessaloniki and will be erected by using the latest generation of modules and inverters. The projects are expected to get the generation license from RAE in Q2 2020 and become ready to build by the end of 2020.
“Greece wields the key of solar to clean its energy mix. We are confident that our solar projects will offer a sustainable and commercially viable solution as Greece wants to get out of fossil fuels.” said Dirk Lamottke, Director of CLARITAS Investments. “We have reached a significant milestone in terms of size and maturity of our portfolio in 2019. We want to finalize the remaining development steps in the new year and get ready for construction before next winter.” quoted Nikos Siafakas, Director of Greece Projects.
CLARITAS has been successfully developing a large PV project portfolio across Poland and entered the Greek solar market in 2018 where since then it generates utility scale renewable energy facilities through its subsidiary CLARITAS Hellas Energy BV.
