Bucharest, Romania
CLARITAS Investments is pleased to announce the expansion of its Romanian solar PV project portfolio to more than 550 MWp in Western Romania. The company has already successfully secured grid connection agreements from Transelectrica for the entire portfolio, marking a major milestone in its Pan-European development strategy.
The project cluster is situated in Arad county in Western Romania and benefits from perfect land conditions and favorable connection terms to 400 kV grid infrastructure in close proximity to the project sites. The portfolio is now in an advanced stage of development. “After having completed our first projects in Timiș County, we were thrilled to work on an even larger scale in the neighbouring Arad County. Securing the grid connection agreements at a reasonable/ investor-friendly cost level was another decisive milestone for us. We now look forward to bringing all the projects to RtB status and bring a part of the portfolio to the upcoming Romanian CfD auction, a government initiative designed to incentivize investment in renewable energy and accelerate the country’s decarbonization goals” said Dirk Lamottke, Managing Director of CLARITAS and head of the Company’s expansion into Romania.
CLARITAS Investments continues to expand its footprint across Central and Eastern Europe with a core focus on utility-scale solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and innovative clean energy infrastructure solutions.
