CLARITAS SUBMITS 9 MW BESS PROJECT TO POLISH NFOŚiGW ENERGY STORAGE SUBSIDY SCHEME

CLARITAS has successfully submitted its 9 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project to the NFOŚiGW “Electricity Storage and Related Infrastructure” subsidy call, launched in Q2 this year. This scheme is part of Poland’s PLN 4 billion (≈ EUR1 billion) energy storage programme, co-financed by the EU Modernization Fund, aimed at delivering more than 5 GWh of storage capacity by the end 2028. Grant funding of PLN 3.735 billion and loans of PLN 415 million are available, covering up to 45% of project CAPEX.

The final results are expected in early Q4. If successful, this would provide significant public support alongside the Capacity Market mechanism, which the project already secured during the 2023 CM auction.

Concurrently, CLARITAS is advancing the project’s development towards full Ready-to-Build (RtB) status. The technical documentation for the building permit application is in its finalization stage, with commissioning of the asset envisaged for early 2027.
